Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Open Nekopomo and start a session — there is no signup step, and there never will be. An account exists only so your history follows you to another device.

Where is my data kept?

On your device, in the browser's own storage. That is the real copy: Nekopomo works with no network at all.

If you make an account, your finished sessions are also copied to our servers so another device can catch up. Signing in merges histories rather than replacing them — whatever you did anonymously is kept.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The timer, your companion, your history and your settings all work with no connection. Sync catches up when you are back online.

What happens if I leave mid-session?

If you are away from the tab for longer than the away allowance — 30 seconds by default, adjustable in Settings — the session is marked as not counted. Your companion looks disappointed and that is the whole penalty. Nothing is deducted, no streak is destroyed, and the session still appears in your history.

Glancing at a notification costs you nothing.

Does the timer keep running if I close the tab?

Yes. The timer works from timestamps rather than counting down, so closing the tab, sleeping the laptop or switching apps cannot make it drift. Time you spent away still counts as away, though.

What is the Companion Pack?

Two extra companions, Tori and Kame, for a single payment of £2.99. It is not a subscription — you buy them once and they stay yours.

What do I get for free?

The timer, your first companion, your full history and stats, settings, accounts and sync across devices. All of it, permanently.

What about scenes?

Scenes are listed in the Collection but are not built yet. They are marked as such and cannot be bought.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — get in touch and we will remove it along with the sessions stored on our servers. Anything held on your own device is cleared by clearing site data for Nekopomo in your browser.
